Silverback Films specialises in the production of high quality wildlife films for both television and cinema.

Formed in 2012 by Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey the company brings together a world class team of wildlife film makers, including Huw Cordey and Jane Hamlin, to create the highest quality natural history films.

Silverback Films now includes the following productions.

The Silverback team have recently made four feature films for Disneynature, African Cats (2011), Chimpanzee (2012) Bears (2014) and Monkey Kingdom (2015).

We are currently making three more features for Disneynature, for release in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

For television, Silverback Films has made two landmark series for The Discovery Channel, North America and Deadly Islands and is currently completing a BBC One landmark The Hunt for autumn 2015. Silverback is also just beginning the production of an eight part landmark for Netflix, Our Planet in partnership with WWF for 2019.
