Award winning Studio Silverback are recruiting! We are looking to add to our Technical Support team as soon as possible (with a flexible start date) on a slate of Natural History, Conservation and Archive projects.We are keen to hear from candidates with experience technically leading/supervising in Post Production on film and television projects, with strong technical knowhow, understanding of workflow and attention to detail. The right candidate will have experience of overseeing a project from acquisition through to delivery and be confident in working independently. This role is based out of our Bristol Office and will be working alongside Studio Silverback's Technical Manager in a supportive and dedicated team, ensuring smooth running across a number of important natural history and conservation projects at Studio Silverback, including Blue-Chip Natural History Production as well as not-for-broadcast, fast turnaround short form content.Job Description:As Tech Lead, the successful candidate will work closely with production management and editorial to understand post requirements, 'future proof' content capture for Studio Silverback, and oversee multiple projects through from start to finish.With oversight from the Technical Manager, our Tech Leads attend production meetings, prep media, offload kits, prep acquisitions documents, communicate and transfer media to clients, oversee ingest, schedule uploads to our clients, oversee supporting of edit suites and prep our edit projects including work with sync media. Software applications utilised include Avid and Da Vinci as well as Yo-Yotta and Cat DV. Our Tech Leads are also responsible for project EoE for finishing post including liaising closely with our preferred picture and sound post house, in addition to commissioners. Tech leads are supported on productions by Edit Assistants who facilitate day to day edit requests, including rushes ingest, safety, asset management and restoring and backing up.As a key member of the team you will have a vital part to play in the successful delivery of important content.Skills and Experience - The Essentials:• At least 5 years professional experience in television Post Production and 2 years experience technically supervising / managing in this area.• Proven track record in Avid Edits, Avid Workflows and in Davinci Resolve.• Excellent level of knowledge of camera formats, codecs and workflows.• Experience in delivering to a number of commissioners and varying formats.• This is a team based, client-facing role so good interpersonal skills are required as are excellent communication skills.• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and problem solve.• Attention to detail and forward planning are key requirements.Experience of the following would also be useful - syncing audio, audio mapping, LTO tape backups and administration of logging.
