We are looking to add to our Technical / Avid Support team at the start of September 2024 on a slate of Natural History, Conservation and Archive projects. We are once again keen to hear from candidates with experience in Edit Assisting. Please submit your CV if you have experience as an Edit Assistant, supporting projects through edit and into delivery.This role is based out of our Bristol Office and will be working alongside Studio Silverback's Technical Manager and others in a supportive and dedicated team, ensuring smooth running across a number of important natural history and conservation projects at Studio Silverback. Job Description: Our Edit Assistants work closely with our Technical Manager and Technical Lead across a Blue-Chip Natural History Production as well as not-for-broadcast, fast turnaround short form content. This includes supporting the Tech Lead in rushes ingest and safety, setting up and supporting multiple edits from start to EOE, archive and asset management, restoring media and backing up content, scheduled uploads to our clients, edit troubleshooting and problem solving within established workflows, plus some DIT kit prep. Our Edit Assistants are also assist prepping our projects for finishing post including work with sync media. You will be working in a department where there is scope for skill development.Skills and Experience - The Essentials: * Several years' experience supporting Avid Edits and Avid workflows. * Organisation with edit projects throughout edit and ingest. * Passion for postproduction and desire to progress in this area. * Understanding of camera formats, codecs and postproduction workflows. * This is a team based, client-facing role so good interpersonal skills are required as are excellent communication skills. * Ability to deal with multiple deadlines and problem solve. * Attention to detail is essential.Experience of the following would also be useful: * Syncing audio * Audio mapping * LTO tape backups * Administration of logging. * Knowledge of Davinci Resolve, Yo Yotta and Cat DV would be beneficial but not essential.The Offer * Salary will be based on experience, between the bracket of £25K and £28K per annum. * Initial Contract is 4 Months with possibility of extension * 28 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays * Workplace pension scheme with NEST with 3% employer contribution * NB This is a Bristol Office Based role.If you are interested, please apply via ProductionBase with your CV and start availability.
