The Channel Company is looking for a forward-thinking Video Editor and Creator to join The Content Studio, a premiere content studio in the IT channel. You'll use your creative digital skills to edit videos, develop animations, produce digital assets required for web delivery, and publish to video platforms. The ideal candidate will excel at utilizing modern digital workflows. Experience producing social media content, newscasts, podcasts, or a design background is a plus. You will have the opportunity to enter the indirect IT Channel at an exciting time, being on the front lines as new technology emerges and our landscape changes. As a Video Editor, you will be working with some of the biggest IT vendors and helping them deliver their messages. Your forward-thinking creativity will keep our content in line with current digital trends and help us maximize engagement as we grow our own brands as well. We're looking for a multi-tasker who can manage multiple videos at once and is comfortable utilizing whatever tool is needed to get the job done. That means tried and true apps like Premiere and After Effects, but also cloud and AI driven platforms. Publishing that is optimized for social platforms such as LinkedIn and YouTube is another important aspect of the job, with thumbnail design and consistency a must. Please submit a portfolio or examples of your work. Any submissions without examples of your previous editing and how you were involved will not be considered. In this role, you will: Edit and publish high quality videos for CRN, Computing, and other TCC properties Use a variety of different apps and platforms to produce these videos and required graphics Collaborate with our entire creative team as they write, produce and film the video content that you will edit Develop simple animations that elevate our production quality and can be re-used in certain circumstances Understand our content strategy and be able to keep our processes on the cutting edge of trends Learn about the IT channel and know what content is relevant to our audience Utilize our cloud systems that we produce and store content from as well as advise on best practices Develop simple graphics for YouTube thumbnails and wherever else we might need to publish video content Skills Needed for Successful Multimedia Specialist: 2-5 years of video editing experience, interview experience is a bonus (such as editing podcasts) Highly organized and process oriented, able to follow and use cloud platforms and naming conventions for project organization. Able to prioritize projects in a dynamic environment. Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively alongside team members as a proactive problem-solver. Experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator. Experience with GenAI tools and AI video editing tools. Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel. Basic design skills and ability to use and re-use templates.
