We produce world-class content including Formula One, UEFA, Paralympics, prime-time documentaries, and entertainment shows for major broadcasters and brands.We are now looking for a talented Camera Operator & Editor to join our team on a 6-month freelancer basis based in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, with the possibility of extension. This is not a permanent employee role, but comes with a full package of support and benefits, including accommodation, daily transport, meals, return flights, visa sponsorship, and healthcare. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperate camera equipment to an intermediate level on shoots, including lighting and audio set ups.Demonstrate a good understanding of composition, framing, light levels, exposure and camera settings to achieve the "look" sought by Directors/Producers.Be prepared to discuss the alternative approaches to shooting with Director/Producers in order to achieve the best outcome.Provide direct support and advice to Production Teams and other camera operators.Drive kit to shootsBe proactive in developing skills as an ENG operatorOffline and online editing on Adobe Premiere ProWorking, as part of a team, across a wide range of content for a digital and social channelsBasic grading and sound mixingUnderstanding the technical requirements to meet and uphold QC standardsEnsuring that the output complies with Whisper's editorial, technical, design and accessibility standards, whilst always working to the company's Health and Safety policyKeeping abreast of developments and trends in the Digital space and make suggestions for creative contentUpholding the reputation of the company by embodying the ethos of Whisper Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEExcellent organisational and time management skillsExperience of working in a pressurised environment within a teamIntermediate camera operating skills inc lighting and soundIntermediate IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages including Adobe PremiereThe capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressureAbility to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse teamHave a proactive attitude to work and promote a positive work ethic in the teamStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work on your own initiativeGood attention to detailFlexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and new systemsAbility to check camera equipment and identify any issuesComprehensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and experience of creating exciting editsPassion for creativity and visual storytelling, and ambition to work as part of the team to suggest new ideas and designsDemonstrated ability and experience of producing engaging, entertaining, and creative features.Understanding of the technical specifications, creative and editorial requirements for delivering output directly to social media platformsUnderstanding of media management, requesting, and ingesting of contentAbility to understand a brief from the internal production team and external clientsAbility to work independently as well as alongside a ProducerFlexibility of working days and hours to fulfil needs at crucial pointsSeveral years' previous experience in the industryCreativity with the ability to bring a fresh new approach to creating engaging and evolving outputWhisper is committed to fair and inclusive employment practices, in line with local law.
