Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation contracted to several market-leading automotive manufacturers.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Videographer on an initial 12 month fixed term contract to join the Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans Digital Learning Development and Media Team, based in Milton Keynes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be based at the Mercedes-Benz Training Centre in Milton Keynes and will join the Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans Digital Learning Development and Media Team.

The main role of the Videographer is to create informative, educational, and engaging training films to support training delivery. They will work closely with the Training Delivery & Development teams to identify media requirements and develop new films from brief through to a final production. The role will also include work for the wider business.

Each project will be delivered to a 'premium' standard in line with brand guidelines and agreed deadlines.

This role is ideal for candidates with ambition, drive, and creativity as well as demonstrable experience of filming and editing video content to a high standard.

This is a fast-paced, but highly rewarding role for someone that enjoys working both autonomously, and within a team.

Salary: Up to £22k depending on experience

Contract: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (reviewed after 12 months, could be extended)

Key tasks & Responsibilities

-Videography

A key part of the role will be videography (filming and editing). Whilst the creative aspect of the role is essential, there will also be a strict requirement to remain inside Mercedes-Benz brand guidelines.

This will include consistent application of all branding elements (e.g., opening stings, end boards) and collaboration with key business and training personnel/departments (e.g., Sales, Technical) to ensure all videos are produced in line with the brief and that they achieve their intended outcome.

-Production

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of filming, camera operation and lighting. They must also have detailed knowledge of video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Experience of other Adobe Creative Cloud software as well as Live Streaming from either a camera operation or vison mixing is desirable, but not essential.

-Creative

The successful candidate will be responsible for the creative aspect of all content produced. This will involve the development of story boarding and shot lists to support departments deliver their vision, and the confidence to give direction and make suggestions to enhance the final piece.

Competence & Experience:

At least two years of experience in videography and editing
Experience in creating and following shot lists/scripts
Proven experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products, e.g. Premiere Pro and After Effects, and an understanding of video formats and codecs
Strong organisational and communication skills are essential
Excellent attention to detail throughout all aspects of production
Ability to work alone, and as part of a team - cross functionally and collaboratively
Experience with photography is advantageous but not essential
Skill, precision, and judgment to ensure that all image and video assets created meet editorial standards and brand guidelines
Excellent time and project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally all key stakeholder
Experience with creating animations and infographics is desirable
High level of self-motivation, commitment, and dedication
A Driving licence is essential as there may be a requirement to film on location (e.g. Mercedes-Benz Vans dealers across UK)
Drone flying and license is desirable
About You:

At times you may be asked to go above and beyond the everyday duties that are set, so it is important to show a willingness to adapt to any situation. We also expect you to show initiative and ability to problem solve.

Many projects may be time-sensitive, and you must be confident and organised to meet deadlines. You must also be able to work independently, or as a part of a team.

The role is based at the Mercedes-Benz Training Centre in Milton Keynes (Tongwell). Attendance offsite for events and filming may also sometimes be required. Additionally, there are occasions when we are asked to support with events out of hours (including weekends) both in the UK and overseas. Flexibility to accommodate is required.

Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). This nature if this role will necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
