The Talent Buyer within Festival Republic is primarily responsible for finding and booking Artists for the Festival Republic Festival Portfolio. The effectiveness of the talent buyer will be measured by them successfully and consistently sourcing and securing the most appropriate talent for the festivals, stages and events they work across leading to these events achieving operational profitability.

What the role includes

Strategy and Business Direction

To contribute to the talent team through programming and curating relevant festivals, stages and events. A big focus of this role will be on identifying emerging talent and musical trends.
To assist in future strategy and growth of Festival Republic including new events, acquisitions, and other indoor and outdoor IP.
Operational Planning and Control

Secure the booking of artists for Festival Republic festivals, and other group events where reasonably required.
Develop relationships with artists, their managers, their agents and their wider teams.
Working with the agreed framework and controls when budgeting & producing offers for artists, ensuring transparency and that best value has been secured for Festival Republic.
Carry out continuous research as to musical trends and developing artist, bringing these changes to the attention of Festival Republic.
Work with relevant Festival Republic staff to ensure artists and their teams have all relevant information to placate smooth running of festivals and events.
Work with relevant Festival Republic staff to ensure all elements of Festival Republic events run successfully.
Maintain efficient communication with all members of the Festival Republic talent buying team.
Maintain and report accurate budgets, figures and other administration to be presented to key personnel as and when required.
