Social Media Producer

London

Fancy working at one of the most exciting radio stations in the UK, alongside talents like Sam Thompson, Fleur East, and more? Hits Radio is looking for a Social Media Producer to join the team!

This is an exciting opportunity to create social media content for one of the UK's most vibrant radio brands. Hits Radio targets a thirty-something, almost grown-up audience, so creating content that resonates with them is key. As a Social Media Producer, you will be responsible for planning and producing engaging digital content for Hits Radio.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of the Hits Radio Breakfast Show, working closely with our presenters, guests, and production team to create standout social content that captures the energy and personality of the show. Alongside this, you'll work very closely with our current Social Producer and collaborate with the Social Lead on bigger station-wide projects and campaigns, helping to shape the brand's overall social presence.

This is a hands-on production role, where you'll be just as involved in capturing and editing content as you are in planning and producing it. We need someone who can take an idea and bring it to life independently. You should be confident, proactive, and full of fresh ideas, with the ability to build strong working relationships with both our talent and the wider Hits Radio team.

Role Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the current Social Producer to develop and produce engaging social media content, including video, photos, graphics, and written posts.
• Collaborate with the Breakfast Show team to generate creative ideas and content that reflects the energy and personality of the show, working closely with talent and guests.
• Support the Social Lead in forward planning, content creation, managing the content calendar, and posting across social platforms.
• Ensure all content aligns with Hits Radio brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and style.
• Create eye-catching social graphics, thumbnails, and other visual assets that enhance engagement and maintain a strong visual identity.
• Monitor and analyse social media trends, audience behaviours, and platform updates to keep Hits Radio's social media presence fresh and effective.
• Develop and execute hub content ideas (ongoing series and formats) and always-on content to maintain visibility on social feeds.
• Engage with the Hits Radio audience across all social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and brand-appropriate way.
• Assist on shoots, interviews, and content days, ensuring we capture social-first moments.
• Work out of hours when necessary, particularly during key events or live broadcasts, to capture and share timely content.

What You'll Bring:
2-3 years of experience in social media content creation, with a strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok & YouTube.
A keen eye for design, with experience in creating thumbnails, engaging social graphics, and other visual assets that drive engagement.
Proficient in mobile filming & editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and Adobe Photoshop).
Confident in directing and briefing presenters, guests, and team members to capture high-quality social content.
Strong copywriting skills, able to write in the Hits Radio tone of voice.
Excellent knowledge of current social media trends and platform best practices.
A creative mindset, with the ability to generate and execute new ideas that resonate with the audience.
Experience in managing content calendars and scheduling content across multiple platforms.
A proactive, collaborative, and highly organised approach, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for music, pop culture, and entertainment, with a sharp editorial eye for what works online.
