We're looking for a Senior Video & Motion Editor to set the standard for motion and video outputs at Flight3. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in both video editing and motion design, someone who can craft compelling narratives through edit, pacing, sound, and animation.

Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Planning
* Define video and motion frameworks, templates, and workflows that ensure scalability and efficiency.
* Conceptualise storytelling approaches that combine strong editing, sound design, and motion to strengthen brand campaigns.
* Identify opportunities to apply emerging video formats (short-form, social-first, performance-led creative) to elevate client work.
2. Execution & Delivery
* Produce high-quality video and motion assets across social, brand campaigns, product launches, and digital channels.
* Lead projects from storyboard and edit structure through to animation, final delivery, and platform optimisation.
* Oversee editing workflows including narrative pacing, music selection, sound design, and grading.
* Balance hands-on editing and animation with leadership responsibilities to maintain creative excellence.
3. Collaboration & Communication
* Work closely with the Creative Director and Client Leads to ensure video and motion outputs align with campaign objectives.
* Partner with designers, copywriters, and strategists to integrate video seamlessly into multi-channel campaigns.
* Present video edits and motion concepts to clients, confidently articulating creative decisions around pacing, storytelling, and performance.
4. Quality & Standards
* Review and approve both video edits and motion design work, maintaining consistency and brand alignment across all outputs.
* Establish quality control processes across editing, animation, sound, and final delivery formats.
* Mentor motion designers and editors, developing craft across both animation and storytelling through edit.
5. Measurement & Improvement
* Track approval and rework rates to measure efficiency and creative accuracy.
* Analyse video performance metrics (where relevant) to refine storytelling and edit approaches.
* Introduce new editing tools, motion workflows, AI-assisted techniques, and efficiencies that improve speed and quality.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience across video editing and motion design, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating both high-quality edits and motion design work (social-first and campaign experience preferred).
* Advanced skills in After Effects and Premiere Pro (or equivalent editing software).
* Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar 3D software is a plus.
* Video content capture is a plus.
* Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, sound design, and platform-specific formats.
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience producing video and motion content for branding, campaigns, and product storytelling.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Nice to have: understanding of Web3 trends and ability to translate technical ideas into engaging visuals.
