Sony Pictures Television International Production's new Digital Studio is here to shape the future of entertainment-developing creator-first, platform-native original content for digital audiences. The newly launched UK-based Digital Studio will be making YouTube series, creator partnerships, podcasts, and branded content that's bold, audience-first, and made for how people really watch.

This is your opportunity to be part of a new digital studio from the outset, with the backing of Sony Pictures and the mindset of a modern digital media company.

We're looking for a skilled and innovative Senior Editor to lead the editing of all content in Sony's new Digital Studio. You will play a crucial role in shaping the studio's output, ensuring that all content is engaging, high-quality, and tailored for digital audiences. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and evolution of the new digital studio, with potential for increased responsibility in the future.

What You'll Do:

Content Editing

Lead on post-production for the Digital Studio, including the editing of long-form YouTube videos and short form social content.
Edit our content for various social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Snap.
Ensure that all edits align with the studio's creative vision and audience expectations.
Collaboration

Work closely with the Creative Director and Head of Production to ensure seamless integration of creative ideas and production processes.
Work with the Channel Manager to ensure edits are optimised for YouTube best practices
Provide constructive feedback to elevate the quality of content.
Work closely with IT & the Head of Production to manage long-term and short-term storage of rushes & live projects
Quality Assurance

Maintain high production standards across all projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
Champion and enforce in-house naming conventions and practices within the team and with freelancers
Quality control all freelancers' deliveries & manage access
Manage in-house delivery processes of finished projects
Live Experience

Utilise live editing experience to enhance real-time content production when necessary.
What You'll Bring (Required Skills and Qualifications)

Expert in working with Adobe Premiere and After Effects to make high-quality digital content.
Proven experience in editing for YouTube, with a strong portfolio showcasing both long-form and short-form content.
Digital Native: Must be a digital native who lives and breathes YouTube content, demonstrating a deep understanding of viewer preferences and consumption habits on the platform.
Expertise in editing creator content for social media platforms.
Familiarity with the dynamics of digital-first content production and audience engagement.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills are required to work effectively with diverse teams.
A forward thinker who stays up to date with all the new features on YouTube and applies them where relevant.
Excellent YouTube thumbnail design experience.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Experience working with creators or managing creator-led content.
A passion for digital culture and a deep understanding of platform-native storytelling.
Live editing experience is a plus.
Desire to work with the latest editing software and explore new content formats for emerging platforms.
