With over 9 million social media followers across our EastEnders, Casualty and Silent Witness channels, BBC Studios Drama Productions are looking to build a talent pool of experienced freelance Assistant Producers with strong self-shooting skills to support digital and social media content.

We're looking for people who know how to find and shoot the behind-the-scenes moments that audiences love - whether that's capturing cast and crew at work, filming talent interviews and vox pops, or spotting the unexpected moments that bring a production to life on social media.

Opportunities will be freelance and project-based around our regional bases: Birmingham, Cardiff, London or Glasgow.

Successful applicants will be added directly to our database. As opportunities arise, we will review the talent pool and prioritise candidates based on location, skills and experience relative to the requirements of production. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Capture engaging behind-the-scenes content, cast and crew interviews, vox pops, B-roll and general production activity across BBC Studios Drama Productions.
* Shoot content with social media platforms in mind, ensuring footage works effectively across both landscape and portrait formats.
* Deliver high-quality rushes and, where required, edit short-form content for digital and social media channels.
* Build strong working relationships with production teams, cast and contributors to identify and access compelling stories and content opportunities.
* Work collaboratively with BBC Studios digital teams to create content that reflects the tone and identity of each drama brand.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Proven experience as a Digital AP, Shooting AP, DV Director or similar content creation role within television, digital or social media production.
* Strong self-shooting skills, including filming interviews, vox pops, behind-the-scenes content and observational footage.
* Positive working relationships with production teams, cast and contributors, while managing competing priorities and responding quickly to production needs.
* Good understanding of social media platforms and how to shoot for different formats and aspect ratios, including landscape (16:9) and portrait (9:16).
* Strong editorial judgement and an eye for identifying behind-the-scenes moments that will perform well across social media platforms.

* Own your own shooting and editing equipment suitable for capturing high-quality behind-the-scenes content.
* Experience working on high-profile drama or continuing drama productions.
