Researcher and Technical Assistant

Researcher and Technical Assistant

One of the worlds leading creators, producers and distributors for TV, cinema, internet and mobile content, are looking to recruit a 'Researcher and Technical Assistant' to support their Acquisitions and Development teams from January 2010 for a 9 month contract.

This role will be primarily working with Acquisitions and Development in the uploading and sharing of video content, so experience of digitising, video formats and using Final Cut Pro or Avid Express is a must. Acquisitions research will be key as well, as you'll be a path finder for new TV formats from around the world. This means we will want you to find, screen, report on, and be able to spot the new trends in TV genres and themes.
You'll also be researching developments in digital and social media, managing the video archive, be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), and also help out on general admin and support to the two teams. The right candidate will be internet savvy, have a demonstrable keen interest in both the international and domestic TV markets; and if you speak another European language, that would be great too.

Are you a proactive, dynamic individual with a positive 'can-do' attitude, currently working as a Runner in a Post Production house, Production or Development Researcher or similar looking for the next step on the ladder? If
