Real Time Technical Artist

Being the link between artists and developers, with a background in both disciplines, the Technical Artist ensures integration between the artistic vision of a project and the technical development making it a reality
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with CG Supervisor and Digital Supervisor to successfully integrate design and programming aspects of projects in real time environments
Advising on the possibilities and setting up systems and processes for creating and developing interactive real time environments
Supporting the Producer, advising on technical issues regarding visual design and contributing creative ideas
Identifying bottlenecks and limitations in the pipeline
Helping the studio workflow to move towards real-time production
Researching and developing new techniques, implementing the best ones and training others on these
Identifying where custom tools could be used to improve processes
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
Proficient in Unreal (Blueprints, Datasmith, transfer of assets from multiple softwares)
Basic working knowledge of Unity an advantage
At least 3 years relevant experience with real-time 3D environments
Experience in building for VR an advantage
Architectural Visualisation experience required
Thorough understanding of developing pipelines and processes
Strong creative background

Strong communication skills, keeping in touch with colleagues across multiple sites
Able to confidently communicate creative needs to technical personnel and vice versa
Experience in scoping projects and reliably estimating required production time
Passionate about real time 3D, AR and VR
Ability to understand conflicting viewpoints and resolve issues
Approachable, flexible, adapts well to changing priorities
