Kudos and Wild Mercury, both a part of Banijay UK, are two of the world's leading television production companies, specialising in scripted content. They work with the best global talent to create, develop, and produce popular, innovative, award-winning drama and comedy series.Recent productions for Kudos include SAS Rogue Heroes (BBC One), Then You Run (Sky One), Grantchester (ITV), This Town (BBC One) among many others. Wild Mercury's productions include the critically acclaimed, BAFTA winning The Sixth Commandment (BBC One), The Rig (Prime Video), along with Humans (Channel 4 & AMC) and Troy: Fall of a City, (BBC & Netflix), both in association with Kudos.Production is also underway on Grantchester series 10, and House of Guinness with Netflix, a series written by Steven Knight chronicling a tumultuous period for the world-famous Guinness family.Kudos is run by Joint Managing Directors Karen Wilson and Martin Haines. Derek Wax is the Managing Director of Wild Mercury.About the Role Working as part of the close-knit Production Team, this role will ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day production support on a wide range of scripted Drama and Comedy productions for Kudos Film & Television and Wild Mercury productions.DutiesDaily Diary Management for Alison Barnett (Head of Production)Daily monitoring of Production Paperwork.Diary & meeting management for the Production Team.General administration for programmes in Production.Expenses for Head of Production.Having a daily working relationship with the Production Coordinators on all our shows, during Prep, Shoot & Post. Supporting and advising them on Kudos paperwork and protocol.Organising all production related meetings, (including Cost Reports and Budget Meetings).Organising and managing the Kudos Production Checklist meetings for each production.Keeping the Kudos Production Pack up to date and issuing to production teams. The Production Pack contains templates, wording for call sheets, and important information. It is the Coordinator's job to keep the policies up to date (on the advice of the legal team) and to ensure distribution of all relevant information.Arranging travel and accommodation for international cast and crew when necessary.Managing sustainability for Kudos Productions. Assisting with the setup of Albert and advising productions on how to be more sustainable, whilst offering support throughout the production. • Monitoring Production Paperwork on the online platforms.Organising Health & Safety and Covid training courses for all crew via First Option.Overseeing Health & Safety paperwork, including accident report logging and reporting to Banijay and 1st Option Safety.Organising pre-recces and collating travel itineraries.Researching locations and suppliers.Researching and checking crew availabilities and updating crew CVs. •Researching and sourcing diverse talent to ensure that all our productions are as inclusive as possible.Overseeing paperwork handover from productions at wrap. The Coordinator will need to take over anything outstanding, such as Cast/Crew contracts, Clearances and Albert.Awards - The Coordinator will manage the submitting of Awards for the whole company. This includes: o Liaising with the Producers on Awards criteria and Diversity o Reaching out to HODs for timecodes, clips, and statements. o Liaising with editing companies for showreels and compilations or using editing software to cut showreels together. o Liaising with Executive Producers for best episodes to support each entry.Knowledge & Skills Prior experience working in Drama is essential.An informed interest in and enthusiasm for the programmes created by the Drama department.An aptitude to forge good relationships with colleagues, whether internal or external • Energetic, flexible, efficient, hard-working, and committed.A highly organised and flexible approach to work, including the ability to prioritise workload.A self-starter who is comfortable working on their own initiative.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times and exercise discretion and good judgement when dealing with confidential matters.Reporting To: Head of Production, also supporting the Production Manager and Senior Production Executive.Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - An initial 8-month contract, which will be reviewed at the end of this period.Hours: 9.30am to 6pm, Monday to Thursday in Kudos Office.
