Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Producer has responsibility for:
Managing digital projects for Nick Jr. to successful delivery, on schedule, and within agreed budgets
Managing the Nick Jr. digital platforms ensuring all content is editorially and stylistically on brand
Producing compelling interactive content, such as games, videos and web applications, for Nick Jr. liaising with internal and external production teams
Producing the digital aspect of large multi-platform campaigns working closely with other departments
Updating and refreshing content across Nick Jr. with support of Digital Intern
Engaging with project stakeholders, managing relationships and communicating as required
Supporting the digital delivery of commercial projects, ensuring brand fit and relevance
Line manage the Digital Intern

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Solid HTML and Photoshop skills
Experience using different CMS and Dreamweaver
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Significant editorial and project management experience
Experience of working in an environment where multiple projects have to be delivered to tight deadlines
Ability to take on and editorially lead complex interactive projects
An ability to rapidly and effectively understand and translate business requirements into project briefs
Proven experience at developing relationships - able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people inside and outside of the digital team, showing necessary resilience
An understanding of the needs, expectations and aspirations of children and parents in the digital world

Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
Understanding of XML/HTML and CMS
Experience using Premiere Pro, After Effects or other film editing tools would be advantageous
Experience of art directing would be advantageous but not essential
Experience of project management methodologies such as Prince 2 or Agile
Understanding of working with, and producing content for, children
An appreciation of Nickelodeon's output and the potential for interactive technologies to enhance offerings
The Producer has to maintain the following internal and external relationships
All members of the Nickelodeon Digital Team, providing support during full project life cycles
Internal Stakeholders, including Marketing, Programming, Legal and Consumer Products and MTS
Digital agencies outside of Nickelodeon, providing thorough briefs and feedback
International Digital Viacom groups

The Key Challenges:
Manage the priorities of various stakeholders across Nickelodeon
Work within the commercial, technical and editorial constraints of a small, commercial, digital media team
Keep abreast of standards and guidelines and make sure Nickelodeon's sites follow them

Able to deal with competing demands, and remain calm and reasonable under pressure
Able to communicate effectively at all levels, making allowances for different levels of understanding
Able to think creatively about how we deliver and produce content for children and parents/guardians
Able to translate user/business requirements into internal and external project briefs.
Able to meet challenging deadlines. In the event of difficulty or delay, to communicate this as early as possible

Key Outputs
To engage with project stakeholders to create briefs for websites
To update websites using html, Photoshop, and other technologies
To recommend to digital team and stakeholders potential new ideas for development
To write scoping documents for small and large projects based on ideas, and/or an available brief
To liaise with content production teams/designers and technical teams during the scoping phase of new projects
To create timeline and resource plans around scoping documents
To deliver projects on time and within budget
To support and develop an Intern
