At Nova Studios, we make films that tell real stories - about people, places and ideas that matter.

Our work takes us everywhere: one week we might be filming an arts festival or a heritage project, the next a corporate story, a social campaign or a promo that needs energy and imagination. We make documentaries, we travel all over the UK and sometimes beyond, and we meet loads of amazing people along the way.

The role
We're on the lookout for a Junior Videographer/Photographer - someone creative, curious and ready to grow.

This is a full-time position based in our Hull office, with a salary of £24,000 per year. Most of your time will be spent out on shoots, working alongside our producers and editors to capture and deliver beautiful, compelling footage and photography.

This is a 9-5 role, but we need someone who's flexible - film work doesn't always stick to a schedule.

You'll be involved in every stage of production:

- Working closely with producers and editors to bring stories to life.

- Prepping, maintaining and looking after our equipment.

- Making sure footage is captured safely, and creatively.

- Shooting on location - sometimes local, sometimes further afield.

- Using your initiative to plan and complete shoots that expand our library of footage.
A driving licence and the right to work in the UK are essential.

Who you are
You're someone who loves visual storytelling. You notice things others don't. You care about people and the world around you. You're curious, creative and thoughtful - and you want to make work that means something.

You'll already have some experience with photography and videography - maybe you've done a degree, built a small freelance portfolio or made short films on your own. You know your way around a camera, you understand the basics of framing and lighting, and you've spent some time editing (Premiere Pro or similar).

You're ready to learn, get stuck in, and be part of a team that values ideas, collaboration and craft.
