Junior Video Editor

We are expanding our Post-Production team and have an opportunity for a Junior Video Editor to join us. Reporting to our Video Editor, you will assist with bringing sight and sound together to tell an engaging and cohesive story. Perhaps you're an assistant editor or post-production assistant looking for that next opportunity in your career. Ideally, you will have just over one years of experience in a video production environment under your belt. Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects. Basic knowledge of colour correction, and creating graphics would be an advantage. Experience of being on shoots and knowledge of pre-production workflows although not essential would also be an advantage.
Not only does this role provide heaps of learning from an expert team of creatives but provides an opportunity to work directly on projects with clients such as Virgin Media, BP Pulse, GROHE, SAP, Crown Paints and Rituals.

The role
As a Junior Video Editor, you will support the Video Editing Team in assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the client brief. Ultimately, you will support the team to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive and engaging story.
Key responsibilities
Ability to edit video content to a high standard ensuring audio is in sync, content well-placed, graphics are used effectively and the overall video meets the client's brief.
Being involved in and contributing to both creative brainstorming and client-facing meetings
Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
Create graphics using Photoshop and After Effects
Collaborate and support the lead producers from concept to completion, where necessary support on shoots from a post-production perspective
Setting up post-production projects, syncing footage, sourcing SFX, stock footage and music
Create rough and final cuts, also implement client feedback on edits across the post-production department
Version content for multiple destination platforms and have a basic understanding of the different requirements for each
Create and QC video captions
Ensuring post-production equipment is stored correctly
You will also have:
Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, and good knowledge of After Effects
Understanding of basic media managing and archive principles
Basic understanding of colour correction and principles
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and stakeholders, whilst meeting tight deadlines
Exemplary written, oral communication and listening skills
