The Role:

MR PORTER are now seeking a talented Junior Video Editor to join the Editorial team based in our offices in Westfield London, W12. Reporting into the Video Editor, you will be tasked with producing and editing video content for MR PORTER. You should be confident in post-production editing, especially with After Effects and Animation with a keen interest in Men's Fashion.

You Will:

Work alongside the Video Editor, Art Director and design team to edit digital video for MR PORTER
Liaise with Production to help plan, produce and deliver all video content within budget
Shoot and light on set, both on location and in the studio
Order shooting kit (cameras, lighting, lenses, etc.)
Complete post production for projects including grading, mastering, encoding in different formats and uploading to the web
Research original images, music, and video content as support material to video shoots
Take a leading role in backing up all data and organising a library of all media
Perform quality assurance on all video footage
Take responsibility for video upload to website
Accurately archive footage to be easily accessed by the Editorial team
Prepare the creative studio, checking that all equipment is functioning, setting up appropriate lighting
You Have:

A professional approach to work with great attention to detail, high quality and consistency
Solid editing background and proven experience using Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier
Experience in the following applications is essential: Photoshop, Color, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, Motion, After Effects, MPEG Streamclip
Excellent understanding of video compression and optimisation for web video
Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment well under pressure with a flexible, creative attitude both within a team and autonomously
Awareness of Sound Booth systems for voiceovers
Good understanding of audio capture and sound quality control
Understanding of usage and clearance requirements for music, images and footage
Knowledge of producing video for various devices e.g. iphone, ipad etc, and interest of new developments and innovation in video content
Experience of archiving
Experience with shooting original content is essential
Attention to detail on all pieces of work
To come brimming with creative video ideas to each meeting
Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines as part of a team or autonomously
An understanding of the online interactive experience
A sense of humour and a passion for the MR PORTER customer and brand
