We are looking for a video producer with an interest in short-form digital content to oversee the production of a number of short videos and other social assets for an exciting new campaign. Based in London, and working to our Director of Content, and alongside another producer, you will be working with a number of NGOs across Europe to devise, script, produce (via remote crews) and edit produce a number of short films simultaneously, taking them from start to finish. The films will reflect and amplify the work of the community groups we are working with, helping them communicate their important work to a wider audience.As the production lead on this project, you will oversee scheduling and ensure that all production milestones are hit, and all assets delivered on time. You will take responsibility for driving the project forward, working with our accounts team, digital team and project management teams to ensure the smooth delivery of the project. You do not need any shooting or directing skills as this is an office-based role. The role does not require any foreign languages.With a first-hand understanding of, and interest in, digital content, you will be resourceful, curious and brimming with ideas. Overseeing the production of several videos at the same time, filmed in different countries, you will need to be organised, efficient, positive, and with a can-do attitude to meeting deadlines.Ideally you will combine a journalistic sensibility with an understanding of how to create compelling, entertaining and must-watch content. You will have significant experience in the edit, and will be great at writing clear, attention-grabbing scripts. You will be a master of conveying complex information in a simple and concise fashion.You are expected to:Work with our NGO partners to devise content ideas in line with their needsTake complex reports and identify the most compelling angles for our audiencesWrite engaging scripts that convey complex information in a simple and clear mannerSuggest ideas for graphicsCommission filmmakers in each country and oversee them remotelyTake ownership of schedules for the projectEnsure assets are delivered to a high enough quality and on timeEdit produce a number of short videos simultaneouslyEnsure all edit scripts and other paperwork are kept up to dateWork in a number of unfamiliar languagesRequirementsUnderstanding of YouTube and other social media platformsSeveral edit producer creditsExperience of current affairs / news / features / other journalistic productionExtensive experience of scriptingExcellent communication skillsExcellent time management and organisational skillsFantastic and meticulous attention to detailPositive and flexible 'can-do' attitude and willingness to solve problemsAbility to get on well with the teamUnderstanding of short-form social videoIt would be great if you also had:Experience of producing video content for YouTube, Instagram or FacebookExperience of cutting shows in foreign languagesEastern European language skills would be a plus but are by no means essential
