Executive Producer

London

This is a full-time position in our London office. The key requirements of this role are to oversee our production slate, oversee commissioned work in an Executive Producer capacity, drive the development and delivery of pitches to clients, strategise and pursue new opportunities, nurture client relationships and harness / nurture the team. You may also be required to produce projects as workload allows or in order to develop projects to a certain point before handing over to a project producer. Outstanding communication skills are essential as is the ability to build rapport quickly and easily in this role, as you will be liaising with clients and colleagues alike.

We are looking for someone with experience across corporate, commercial and broadcast work, as an Executive Producer or Series Producer. With a strong documentary background you will be a stickler for editorial integrity and truthful storytelling. The ability to find great stories and write pitches is essential, as is being able to juggle several projects at once.

Proven experience in:
• Operations and management experience either at business level or as an executive producer/series producer.
• International shoots.
• Documentary and/or commercial film production.
• Managing production finance across multiple projects.
• Client management.
• Insurance and contractual issues related to film production.
• Recruiting reliable production personnel & sorting paperwork accordingly.
• The creative process and thinking ahead before each required step.
• Finding contributors / leadership on story-finding.
• Editorial leadership.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain an overview of all current projects to ensure the smooth running of the films in production.
• Responsible for delivery of reactive new business enquires. Support the Managing Director in proactive new business development.
• Executive producing projects overseeing production, creative and editorial execution and client management.
• Offer leadership to maintain creative quality and excellence across our output.
• Responsible for all production finance, including drafting quotes and schedules (or delegating), issuing invoices in a timely manner and tracking progress against timelines and budget.
• Check and sign off supplier invoices related to production and keep track of credit card spend.
• Managing resources to ensure all productions are crewed appropriately, supporting the team in hiring freelancers.
• Ensure all projects follow a systematic management process, e.g. briefing document, T&Cs, risk assessments, release forms, permissions, licenses, project wrap up/ evaluation and debrief.
• Monitor and manage health and safety across the team and productions.
• Maintain insurance and deal with any claims.
• Review all legal documents and liaise with our lawyer/clients to finalise paperwork in a timely manner.
• Support and advise the production team by responding to any queries they have (budgeting, contracts, logistics, clients etc).
• Manage knowledge transfers & training/ workshops.
• Fulfill holiday cover for producers where needed.
• Organizing regular group and production meetings as required to keep track of projects and mitigate any potential problems.
• Ensuring a central filing system for all project related paperwork is up-to-date.
• Perform additional responsibilities, as they arise.
