Job Title: Executive Producer - Sports Comedy Series (TV/Cable/Streaming)Location: Flexible (with travel as needed), London based projectEmployment Type: Contract- ongoing contractStart Date: TBD (Pre-Production Phase)About the ProjectWe're developing a sharp, character-driven comedy series set in the world of a mainstream UK sport-blending irreverent humor, underdog spirit, and locker room dynamics with strong ensemble storytelling. The show is aimed at a broad audience with international appeal and is being positioned for premium cable or streaming platforms.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Producer to lead the creative and production process for our comedy series. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in producing successful scripted content for TV, cable, or streaming platforms, with particular strengths in comedy, team dynamics, and serialized storytelling.Key Responsibilities• Provide overall creative leadership from development through post-production.• Guide the writers' room, script development, and narrative arc with a sharp comedic voice.• Collaborate closely with directors, cast, and department heads to maintain consistent tone and quality.• Oversee production operations, ensuring delivery on time and on budget.• Work closely with financing partners and networks to meet platform-specific requirements.• Potentially contribute to packaging and pitching to networks, streamers, and co-production partners.• Manage relationships with talent, agents, unions, and production staff in a professional and inspiring manner.Required Skills & Experience• Proven success as an Executive Producer or Showrunner on scripted TV or streaming comedy series.• Deep understanding of comedy structure, tone, and pacing-especially in ensemble-driven formats.• Strong leadership and team management experience in high-pressure production environments.• Experience working with streaming, cable, or broadcast networks-with knowledge of their workflows, standards, and expectations.• Solid grasp of production budgeting, scheduling, and post-production processes.• An intuitive feel for audience tastes and market trends in both local and global comedy content.• Passion or working knowledge of any UK sports and culture is highly desirable.• Proven experience of raising finance for cable or tv comedy series is an advantage as well as keeping programmes on the airWhat We Offer• Opportunity to shape a bold and original series with broad audience appeal.• Collaboration with a passionate, creative team and a dynamic production environment.• Competitive compensation with potential for further creative and production partnerships.To ApplyPlease submit your CV and LinkedIn profile, credits and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and your interest in this project to: Production Base rather than the production company.Plus salary expectations and conditions.Deadline: Tuesday 15th July 2025We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage applications from underrepresented voices in the industry.
