We are looking for a freelance editor to expand our freelance pool. They must be detail oriented and possess a strong technical knowledge. This is a fast paced position dealing with multiple edits at one given time as well as preparing files for delivery in various broadcaster tech specs. The video editor will be working across each of our extreme sports shows and broadcast deliverables.

This role is well suited for an individual who is a junior editor with strong technical skills and looking to take the next step in their career or a freelancer looking to expand their career. This role could possible lead to a full time position.

The video editor will report to the Head of Post Production and work closely with the Production team to ensure delivery deadlines and weekly episode outputs are being met.

Key Requirements
• A detailed knowledge of Avid is essential
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Adobe Media Encoder, Soundtrack Pro, and FCP7
• Knowledge of various video formats and codecs essential
• Minimum 2-3 years experience working in a broadcast post production environment
• Experience with broadcast delivery
• Thorough understanding of post production process
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Good organizational skills
• Knowledge of Mac OS X operating system.
• Working knowledge of networking and IP addresses beneficial
• Experience in managing a small team beneficial
• Positive can do attitude

• Transcoding and standards conversions
• Assembling and finalizing edits
• Preparing files to technical specifications for each broadcaster
• Internal QC of programming
• Liaising with production and distribution teams
• Provide technical feedback and solutions when required
