Broadcast Technology Assistant

London

We are in search of an enthusiastic and capable Broadcast Technology Assistant to join our Broadcast Projects team at an entry-level position. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are keen to apply their academic knowledge to a real-world setting. The selected candidate will play a supportive role in broadcast project installations and in some situations be the key point of contact for smaller tasks, be responsible for ensuring documentation is completed and kept up to date, help maintain our technical areas and provide support to other technical departments on occasion. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within the field, play a key role in a diverse range of live events, and enhance your technical expertise across a vast range of fundamental & emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the setup and configuration of broadcast equipment under the guidance of experienced engineers
Ensure documentation its completion and well managed for installations, modifications, and configurations
Help create clear and comprehensive technical write-ups and manuals for end-users and systems support teams to reference
Provide support for installed systems, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems as needed
Organize and manage documentation libraries. Ensuring that all records are accurate, current, and accessible
Help maintain H&S compliance in and around technical areas
Ensure equipment stores are kept tidy and well managed

Key Requirements
Fundamental knowledge of modern broadcast systems and technology
Fundamental knowledge of Networking and CIT systems would be highly desirable
Exceptional writing and communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and effective technical documentation
Proficiency in common office and design software (e.g., MS Office, Visio, basic CAD tools)
A detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
Eagerness to take initiative and learn on the job
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to occasionally work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays?????
