Candour Productions is a multi-award winning independent production company, based in a beautiful mill on the outskirts of Leeds.

Our passion is to make 'films that make a difference' and we specialise in hard hitting content on pressing social issues.

Founded by friends and colleagues Anna Hall, Brian Woods and Jez Neumann, Candour is fulfilling Anna's dream to establish a hub for film-makers in the north and we have a team of journalists and producers who all live and work in the region.

In the last year we have won the Highly Commended Award for Best Single Doc at the Griersons 2020; we've just won the RTS Yorkshire best indie award (Best Independent Spirit) and we've been nominated for two Edinburgh TV Festival Awards and an AIB. Our filmmakers have won the TV Foundation 'Debut Director' Award; the Sheffield Doc Fest 'Northern Doc' Pitch and the RTS Yorkshire 'One to Watch' Award.

Candour recently received investment from the Channel 4 Growth Fund, under our former name True Vision Yorkshire.

Candour has been nominated for 6 BAFTAS, 2 Griersons, RTS Documentary Series; Broadcast Series and Anna is the only woman to have been nominated in two consecutive years for the BAFTA CRAFT Award Best Factual Director.
