ABOUT ME:
My screenplay JOURNEY TO THE MOON is currently being produced by Dream On Films. I also have two short films in production. I spent a year on the Guiding Lights Scheme which is a film industry mentoring scheme. The programme is sponsored by Optimum Releasing and supported by a number of other partners, and has the backing of a Steering Committee chaired by Working Title Films founder and UK Film Council chairman Tim Bevan. My mentor on the scheme was Tony Grisoni (TIDELAND, RED RIDING, THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE, FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS, etc.)

I spent six months on the UK Film Council's First Feature Development Fund Programme, receiving development assistance to develop my script GURK THE SLAYER!

Guiding Lights arranged for me to spend time in the development department at Working Title Films. I gained representation as a result of a personal recommendation by a development executive at Working Title.

MINDBENDER, the script that won me a place on the Guiding Lights scheme, won first place in the comedy category in the StoryPros screenwriting contest. It also took the Gold prize in the comedy category in the 2008 Page International Screenwriting Awards.

KNIGHT KNIGHT came second in Final Draft's 2007 Big Break screenwriting contest, winning me a trip to LA to receive an award and meet with industry professionals (including a brief chat with Oliver Stone). The contest judges included the writers of films such as STAND BY ME, STARMAN, MR & MRS SMITH, X-MEN III, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH, TOMORROW NEVER DIES and
GOLDENEYE. An article about KNIGHT KNIGHT featured in an issue of Script magazine.

I have attended several writing courses including a comedy writing course and a weekend workshop on screenwriting with Blake Snyder. I have also taken a script reading course at The Script Factory in London and I have read and reviewed over a hundred screenplays on Triggerstreet.com.

As well as writing eleven feature screenplays I have written a stage play, a radio play, several short screenplays, a sit-com and a children's story. I am currently writing a TV drama and developing an idea for a factual television programme.
