Arts & Creative Technologies (ACT) is an academic school at the University of York that values and supports industry engagement in both the screen and stage industries. ACT's degree programmes are designed to equip our graduates for successful careers in film, television, games, immersive media, theatre, app and web design and beyond. They combine high level academic, creative and technical knowledge and skills delivered through innovative learning opportunities.

Our staff include award-winning teachers and researchers as well as creative practitioners from the film, television and interactive media industries. We have industry-standard production facilities which help our students and industry clients explore ideas and achieve their creative ambitions.
