Hotbed Media was created by Chief Executive Johannah Dyer in 2000 and has since become one of the biggest independent producers of network television outside London.

The company specialises in Factual Entertainment and Entertainment programmes and formats with credits including WIN MY WAGE, 100 WORST BRITONS, 100 WORST POP RECORDS, 100 HOTTEST WEB SEARCHES, THE DAY I GOT THE SACK and POWER TO THE PEOPLE: AN A-Z OF PROTEST for Channel 4; STAR PORTRAITS WITH ROLF HARRIS, PETE WATERMAN AND THE COVENTRY CHOIR, THE EXHIBITIONISTS and BUILDING BRITAIN  for BBC One; EVERYTHING MUST GO, UNDER THE HAMMER, DATE MY DAUGHTER and SOLUTION STREET for ITV1; STREET MARKET CHEFS AND GARDEN ER for Channel 5 and BUILD, BUY OR RESTORE and BUILD, BUY OR RESTORE - ABROAD for Discovery Networks Europe.

Many of company's completed programmes and formats have been sold internationally and the Hotbed team regularly attends MIPTV and MIPCOM in Cannes. The company also has a major feature film in funded development.
