We now have an opportunity for a Senior Storyboard Revisionist at our Dublin Studio for a 6 month, fixed term contract.
About the role:
Our next Senior Storyboard Revisionist will deliver high-quality on schedule storyboard revision panels of assigned series to Production and Post Production departments as well as lead and coordinate the Storyboard Revisionist team.
Delivery: What you produce
- Revision panels based on director and client feedback
- Pro-active problem-solving visual solutions
- Updates to revision progress tracker
- Rough revisions for approval before clean-up
- Approval communications for Director
- Time bids.
Measurements: How we measure it
- High quality delivery of revised storyboard panels as instructed by the Episodic Director
- On schedule revisions turnaround as set by production and/or Post Production
- Feedback from Episodic Director, Production Manager and Post Production Supervisor
- Delivery against schedule
- Team development and sustainability
Key Responsibilities
- Responding efficiently to notes and translating revisions during storyboard review and animatic process.
- Proactively communicating regularly with Director and Post Production to keep the department updated on progress and delivery deadline.
- Proactively communicating with the Previz department as needed.
- Providing accurate time bids.
- Undertaking revisions and updating revisions tracker.
- Emailing clear approvals communications for Director and Post Production.
- Adhering to the quality and style of the show and make sure it is consistently achieved in drawings.
- Ensuring all the required reference material is available to allow for success.
- Organising and updating the storyboard production folders regularly.
- Supporting and guiding Storyboard Revisionists, coordinating activity and identifying needs.
- Providing feedback to Production on recurring issues regarding board deliveries and identifying solutions.
Key Requirements Knowledge:
- Proactive in improving current practice.
- Advanced understanding acting and animation posing.
- Strong and full understanding of production schedule and deadlines.
Experience:
- Animation Industry experience, preferably in CG animation for game, cinematics, TV, or film, likely to have been credited on at least 2 series.
- Revision and storyboarding experience.
- Coaching & mentoring of others.
Technical Skills:
- Excellent drawing skills.
- Ability to translate Director's creative vision.
- Ability to interpret script and translate it into visual form.
- Strong composition skills.
- Must be able to use digital software such as Storyboard Pro and Photoshop; able to advise, improve on and troubleshoot on current tools and animation issues.
