This is your chance to join a talented team at a pivotal moment, contributing to fast paced, agenda setting video output that drives traffic and revenue, as we redefine how a historic brand tells stories in the fast-paced digital world.
Your role: As a Graphics Editor in Sun Originals, you will be a key player in crafting compelling proactive video content for our sport, showbiz and Fabulous content strands that drive views and engagement across digital platforms. You will work closely with commissioning editors, producers, and the social team, ensuring that the longer-format stories we create captivate and engage our growing digital audience.
This is an opportunity for a passionate and talented graphics editor who can work quickly and bring creative flair to our content.
Day to day you will:
Branding: You can quickly understand the requirements of a design brief, and develop original and compelling identities for individual formats while being mindful of the master brand and sub-brands. You have an excellent eye for detail and understand how to create a kit of parts that can be rolled out across multiple formats.
Motion: As well as design the identity for our formats, you can expertly bring them to life across a suite of on-screen graphics.
Software Expertise: Proficiency in industry-standard software like Adobe After Effects, illustrator, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, Blender, and Photoshop, as well as a broad knowledge of plugins e.g Trapcode/Newton/Motion Bro. Familiarity with tools like Final Cut Pro can be advantageous.
Collaboration: Work closely with commissioning editors and video producers to understand the editorial direction and ensure video content supports our team goals.
What we are looking for from you:
• Experienced GFX editor: You have hands-on experience editing in a large, fast-paced television or digital media environment. You understand how to balance speed with quality and are an expert narrative teller.
• Digital Native: You're immersed in the digital landscape, with a strong understanding of YouTube, social media platforms, and how audiences engage with video content online.
• Platform-Savvy: Proficient in designing for multi-format outputs with efficiency in repurposing content across digital channels
• Fast & Agile: You're capable of working quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced newsroom, juggling multiple tasks without compromising on quality. You will be required to work a rolling shift pattern of days and evenings across seven days.
