Job Introduction
The Digital Originals team create innovative youth-skewing content for diverse global audiences. We want to inspire, connect and entertain the digital generation with attention grabbing shows for broadcasters, brands and platforms.

We are looking for a Development Producer for a 6-month contract to work in our dev team. The Producer will be instrumental in devising and developing original ideas, delivering consistently high standards of creative output - from written treatments, to decks and sizzles.

Main Responsibilities
Drive the generation and development of original ideas for broadcasters, brands and digital platforms.
Write and create treatments and pitch decks to a first-class standard.
Work with the Development Exec in managing relationships with commissioners, talent and agents - attending pitch meetings where required.
Work collaboratively with Studios genre teams and Digital Originals dev team - leading brainstorms and supporting other members of the team where required.
Oversee, support and shape the creative work of the team.
Keep up to date with the latest briefs and commissioner steers.
Seek out emerging content trends across TV, digital and branded.
Discover new onscreen talent and support their development within BBC Studios.
Ensure our content reflects a young and diverse audience.
Are you the right candidate?
TV development experience at Producer level is essential, you'll have a track record of commissioned / piloted projects, excellent writing skills and a portfolio of deck design work / sizzles. This job would suit a creative who thinks beyond broadcast and wants to hone their skills across a variety of genres and styles of content.

Previous experience as a Development Producer in unscripted TV with a proven track record of developing commissioned shows - from initial idea, right through to pitch.
Proactive in idea development, with experience in leading brainstorms.
First-class writing and design skills, with the ability to adapt tone / style based on project.
Experience in leading and shaping development projects, assigning tasks and signing off work.
Excellent communications skills - whether it's gaining access to institutions, casting contributors, working with talent, or pitching to commissioners.
Awareness of the latest trends across social, music, digital and branded, combined with an encyclopaedic knowledge of TV formats.
Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting swiftly to changes and conflicting priorities.
