The Royal Shakespeare Company are looking to appoint a Deputy Head of Wardrobe for the upcoming production of KYOTO at sohoplace.

This position is offered as a fixed term contract until 4 May 2025, commencing on 30 December 2024.

As Deputy Head of Wardrobe, you will assist the Head of Wardrobe in facilitating the smooth running of the show from a Wardrobe perspective, as well as ensuring that the show's costumes are well maintained and show-ready, for the duration of the show's run.

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience as a Deputy Head of Wardrobe for rehearsals, technical rehearsals and show running on a theatre production with frequent fast paced quick changes.
Practical costume maintenance, repair, and alteration experience including hand and machine sewing skills.
Previous experience in supporting day-to-day scheduling and operations alongside the head of department.
Previous experience with shared supervision responsibility of a dressing team, for rehearsals and performance.
Rehearsals will take place in London, prior to the show transferring to sohoplace.
