YouTube Creative Producer

London

Here at Nothing, we're building a world where tech is fun again. Remember a time where every new product made you excited? We're bringing that back. To get there we're gathering the creative and the curious. Those that are passionate enough to question the old and embrace the new. In return, you'll be part of a movement. Contributing to a global ecosystem of products that bring joy to people's lives.

Nothing's debut smartphone, Phone (1), earned Time Magazine's prestigious Best Inventions for Innovative Smartphone Design award. Through cutting-edge design and user interface innovation, the London-based company is creating an alternative ecosystem of tech products for the young and creative.

In 2023, the company launched Phone (2) to wide acclaim from its community, the media, and design enthusiasts, and in 2024, Nothing launched its CMF Phone 1, and Nothing Phone (2a) Series, with both receiving an overwhelmingly positive reception.

To date, Nothing has sold more than 7 million units worldwide across its product lines, having released five audio products, five smartphones, and two smart wearables under the Nothing and CMF by Nothing brands. The company has amassed a cumulative revenue of $1 billion.

All products are developed in close collaboration with the Nothing Community, which includes over 8,000 private investors and are crafted with sustainability at the forefront.

Nothing is a UK-based privately held company with backing from GV (formerly Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, C Ventures and other private investors including Tony Fadell (Principal at Future Shape & inventor of the iPod), Casey Neistat (YouTube personality and Co-founder of Beme), Kevin Lin (Co-founder of Twitch) and Steve Huffman (Co-founder and CEO of Reddit).

The Role:

We're looking for a YouTube-native content killer - someone who's part video journalist, part creative producer, and 100% platform-fluent.

This isn't brand marketing. It's value-first storytelling made for YouTube. Think: content that people actually want to watch - like what you'd see from MKBHD, Casey Neistat, or other sharp, editorial-style creators - and then take that lens and apply it to Nothing's unique blend of tech, design, and culture.

Who You Are:

You get YouTube - deeply. You understand how the platform works, what drives engagement, and how to make content feel native (not like an ad).
You're a storyteller first: whether you're hosting, producing, or directing, you know how to bring a compelling narrative to life.
You're a digital journalist at heart: curious, observant, and constantly digging for what's interesting - whether it's a story angle, a product quirk, or a cultural moment.
On-camera skills are a big plus, but not a deal-breaker. What matters most is your ability to shape and deliver stories - either as the face, or as the director behind the face.
You care about aesthetics. You know how to make things look and feel cool without trying too hard. Style matters - especially to Gen Z.

What You'll Do:

Pitch and produce YouTube-native video ideas that reflect Nothing's brand and values - bold, design-forward, culturally aware.
Be the host or direct talent - depending on the idea - always keeping the story and the audience at the center.
Write scripts, shape narratives, lead shoots, and deliver sharp, editorial-style content.
Work across departments (creative, product, comms) to uncover stories that have organic resonance - not just brand priorities.
Build and grow the Nothing YouTube channel into a place of real value, creativity, and culture - not marketing fluff.

Requirements:

Experience as a YouTuber, video journalist, or content producer with strong storytelling and visual instincts.
Solid grasp of YouTube strategy - titles, thumbnails, hooks, retention.
Experience directing, scripting, and producing video content from end to end.
Passionate about tech, design, music, and fashion - and always plugged into what Gen Z cares about.
Basic camera and editing skills - enough to shoot scrappy content solo when needed, and speak the language of editors and DPs.
Ability to interpret performance data (views, retention, CTR, etc.) and use insights to refine content and drive growth - you're as comfortable looking at the YouTube Studio dashboard as you are in Premiere.
