We are now looking for a Web Site Editor and Copywriter who will be responsible for developing and overseeing the creation of the home page content on our main site (www.itza.io), teacher support portal and our various social media channels. The role will involve working closely with the wider production team to develop the content and in particular the editorial copy required each season.

Key Responsibilities
Given the small and dynamic nature of the production team, responsibilities will vary from time to time, but the key set is given below:
• Create high quality web content in association with the wider production team that attracts and grows the number of monthly active learners using our site
• Edit, proofread and suggest improvements to written content and voice over scripts created by producers
• Plan, research and write editorial copy for use on the main Itza site, teacher portal and social media channels
• Work closely with our quiz producer to support the development and review of scripts for live quiz hosts
• Generating short "hooks and fixes" to content on our main site from social media feeds
• Help to define Itza's tone of voice across our output, both on the Itza site, the teacher portal and social media channels
• Create and maintain a simple to use writing style-bible for the team to follow
• Regularly check and track content on our site for quality and accuracy correcting it as required
• Comply with copyright and privacy regulations
• Track and analyse website and social media channel traffic to determine impact of content on our sites

Experience & Qualifications
• Degree level qualification in journalism, communications or similar relevant field
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous journalistic experience writing for Gen Z audience
• Previous working experience as a Web Editor for 2+ years
• Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills
• Good knowledge of SEO practices and tools
• Fastidious attention to detail
