This is an engineering position reporting to the Lead Vision Engineer, within the projects department. The core responsibilities of this role focus on the preparation, planning and technical operation of Outside broadcast facilities on a global scale.

Based in our Watford office with international travel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* To install and guarantee the reliability of video broadcast systems
* Configuration of video matrix and switchers - Manufacturers include Sony, SAM, and Grassvalley
* Design and configuration of networked control systems. Integrating tally networks, multiviewers, and video switchers
* Assisting in the planning of projects to fulfil the requirements set by our clients
* Assisting in the preparation of equipment according to technical project documentation
* Identify and repair faulty equipment. Undertake general routine maintenance and planned works
* Undertake continuous self-learning and professional development
* The following skills would be an advantage:

Skills and experience required:
* Previous experience working with outside broadcasting facilities/equipment
* Experience of working in networked environments
* Project planning and generation of technical documentation
* An understanding of emerging IP standards and technology
* Programming of broadcast control systems including - video /audio routing, GPIO and tally systems
* Experience in CAD and Visio.
* Travel

This position is based heavily on location which requires a large amount of international travel. Therefore, flexibility and a keen sense of adventure are a key requisite for the position.
