Videographer Assistant

The Videographer Assistant role sits within the UK Adventure division, which offers a diverse range of experiences to a wide range of discerning customers in multiple markets including north America and Australasia. We have a multi-channel, three distinct brand marketing strategy that is highly targeted and revolves around tracking and acting on customer insights. Creating and leveraging great content, creating amazing user journeys and being highly customer centric are central to our vision.

The marketing department covers Ecommerce, Marketing, Creative & Analytics and is devoted to creating exceptional experiences for our customers through great content, amazing user journeys and impactful multichannel marketing activity. Customer insight and performance results drive our thinking, ensuring everything we do is engaging & effective, timely & targeted and most of all customer led.


What you will be doing

* You'll bring our brands to life through video and photography, by showcasing the exceptional stories and unique aspects of our adventures and the positive emotions they elicit in our guests
* You'll predominantly work with the marketing and creative teams to edit and craft eye-catching and engaging video that aligns with the overall brand message across different delivery platforms (e.g, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Display Advertising)
* You will curate and manage video content within Bynder - our new digital asset library
* You'll act fast to the news where opportunities arise to create bitesize content at pace from original or pre-recorded film
* Support the Video Production Manager on location in the field when assistance is required

Key competencies
Essential:

* Previous experience in a similar role
* Detailed knowledge of Final Cut Pro X
* Detailed knowledge of Apple Motion/Adobe After Effects
* Detailed knowledge of colour correction and colour grading process
* Basic knowledge of building and shooting with mid-range cameras such as Canon 5d Mark IV, Blackmagic Cinema Pro
* Thrives in an outdoor environment, with the ability to operate efficiently in a variety of extreme conditions
* Well-developed music sense, pace and timing and colour to drive the greatest possible impact from the video
* Maintain excellent attention to detail and QCing your own work
* Excellent communication and organizational skills and professionalism
* Experience with sound design and ideally using online production music databases

Desirable:

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent file and folder management
* Additional knowledge of special effects, 3d Gifs, animations, stop-motion, motion graphics, titles and still graphics, but not essential
* Ability to view creative work with critical eyes, and with the right balance of passion and objectivity to move the brand forward
* Fearless, boundlessly creative, the ability to have a positive attitude towards constructive criticism, and great communication skills and an ability to explain your ideas effectively and concisely
* Ability to handle and prioritise multiple projects and to adjust to inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines, and project goals
* International travel will be required as part of the position
