We are looking for a creative and energetic Food Videographer and Photographer to join our Creative Studio (which is part of our Brand Team). You will play an integral role in brand storytelling, bringing our brand world to life through an ownable on-trend visual style, delivering on strategic briefs, creating engaging content to build allplants into a beloved household name.You are passionate about digital storytelling and the power of still and moving photography to engage audiences. You have an artistic flair which is rooted in commercial understanding. You are curious about the role social media has to play in brand building and are willing to flex your strong technical knowledge to whatever the brief requires. As such you will play an essential role in building our brand, and advocating for the types of conversations we should be part of, and stories we should tell.We are looking for someone who is eager to get stuck into any challenge, who is reactive on a day-to-day basis but also has an eye to the future.This is a permanent position. The salary for this role is based on our internal framework and is £30,000 to £40,000, depending on experience.You will report into Steph, our Art Director and have management responsibility for Toni, our Food Editorial Executive.What you'll be doingThe scope and main responsibilities of this role are detailed below. This isn't fully exhaustive but will cover off the main elements.Videography:Take the lead role in video creation, including; concepting, storyboarding, producing, shooting and editing video contentWork in a team of other creatives or independently to answer creative briefsWork with Social Media Content Creator to establish ways of working with video, sharing your skills to keep a high standard of output across all channelsDirect in-house and external talent to create entertaining, shareable resultsDevelop an ownable video style for allplants based on the existing Brand World which flexs to use across multiple platforms. Considering how allplants should move; from food macro shots to people, to transitions and graphicsCreate high quality editorial social media content, which inspires and engages our target audience with the allplants brand and productCollect and encourage behind-the-scenes content from the team to show life at allplantsPhotography:Take the lead role in photo creation, including; moodboarding, scamps, producing, shooting and editing photography contentWork closely with Art Director to execute campaign shoots end to endWith a strong creative eye, direct food stylists, in house talent and external partners to achieve the shotDevelop a strong eye for food styling, understanding how it performs in front of the camera. Lighting it beautifully and working with pace to keep it looking freshRetouch photography after campaign shootsManagement:Inspire Food Editorial Exec with a passion for personal development and transferring your knowledge and experienceLead the photo/video discipline, identifying areas for growth and delivering timely feedback and training where neededManage additional freelance support when needed, onboarding them smoothly to our systems and processesTeach other creatives and marketeers fundamentals of video and photography where appropriateTrend awareness:Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest social trends from new platforms, to micro trends, to what is and isn't relevant and everything in between. You will make recommendations that fit within the brand and comms strategy, whilst capitalising on the zeitgeists to drive engagement and click throughStay up to date with the latest in the food industry, making sure allplants is part of the conversation and leading the wayCommunicate trends clearly with the wider team, able to flex the video style to accommodate trends on a regular basisStudio administration:Ensure kit and equipment is documented and well cared for, from C-Stands to SD cardsEnsure studio space is kept professionally and in orderTake responsibility for keeping kit up to date, only purchasing or renting when necessaryKeep a high standard of file organisation so that others in the studio team can collaborate easilyWhat you'll needPrevious experience as a videographer or photographer (with a demonstrated skills in the other discipline)Experience working perm or freelance for a busy agency or start-up environment would set you up for the role here wellProficient in the use of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop and LightroomKnowledge of Adobe AfterEffects and Capture One are a bonusYou have a reel or portfolio with commercial video/photo work, showing your ability to respond to briefsTechnical knowledge of DSLR and mirrorless video cameras; able to pick up kit quickly and use manual settings (we currently use Panasonic Lumix GH5 and Canon 5D Mark IV)Technical knowledge of continuous and flash lighting setups to achieve a range of moods and styles for both video and photo briefsAbility to record and mix soundComfortable working solo from concept to execution as well as in larger creative teams, taking art direction, directing on-screen talent and participating in productionUnderstanding of how to turn external and customer insights into compelling contentWorking knowledge of social media trends and an interest in expanding your understandingSome experience collaborating with marketing disciplines e.g. Brand Managers, Social MediaConfidence and a natural curiosity for people and storytelling, you will always push the bar to find unique angles and ideasAble to work at pace, you know when to perfect and craft, and when to export to keep the content relevantStrong organisational skills and attention to detailEnergy and enthusiasm to learn and get involvedExperience with shooting, making and styling food is desirable but not essential *There's quite a bit on this list.
