Position
We're fully flexible. As of November 2021, if it suits your role at Deltatre, you can work full time from home/remotely, from the office, or a combination within the same country as your contracted office of employment.

Video Experiences is the Unit leading OTT products and services provider delivering best-of-breed products and components as well as comprehensive end-to-end solutions. Our premium software products and UXD consultancy are the principal choice of leading telecom, cable, broadcast, media and aviation companies.

We are looking to hire Operators with basic knowledge and experience in video streaming to provide support to internal and external clients on a Zero Hours shift basis for our OTT operations during live sport events (Football, Golf, Rugby, etc).

The successful applicant will join a team whose tasks are to perform the operations of our expanding portfolio of online video players and OTT video solutions. Working for multiple high-profile clients in the sporting and broadcasting world, this is an operative demanding role and requires the individual to be a strong team player, possess the ability to multitask and be able to perform calmly and efficiently under pressure. They must demonstrate a blend of operative skills and responsibility in order to perform their job well. The right candidate will also have plenty of opportunities to help improve the operational workflows and develop new processes.

Applicants should be keen and quick to learn new technical skills. and be able to work flexible hours (mandatory), as due to the nature of our work, evening and weekend shifts will be necessary.

A true passion for sport is extremely valuable for this role.

Following training on Deltatre's products and services, the Video Streaming Operator will be based from the studios in the Wimbledon office and be responsible for:

Providing live operational support to key projects ensuring that all services are running while monitoring software and hardware key performance metrics
Operating the video encoding technologies used by the company
Monitoring the streaming platforms before and during operational events
Operating and Monitoring live video encoding for live sporting events
Ensuring that operations run smoothly, by following operational and technical checklists
Ensuring that all monitoring is set up appropriately and efficiently
Ensuring high quality user experience, by managing backoffice tools driving the FrontEnd
Reporting issues and outages and applying relevant troubleshooting
Delivering a final Operative Report to the client

Excellent IT skills with a variety of software experience
Experience working with Live online video streaming. Experience with Elemental Encoders and Windows Azure very beneficial but not essential
Willingness to work late shifts and weekends, given the timing of global sports operations
Excellent communication skills (able to clearly articulate issues to II and III Level support teams)
Has ideally worked in an operative role with computers
Confident to make decisions to resolve issues with limited supervision
Enjoys working in a fast paced and highly pressured environment
Able to follow reliable, clear and quality (process) documentation
Good knowledge and practical experience of technologies mentioned
Degree educated with a science or technology focus or equivalent (desirable)
