Video Reporter/Producer

London

Reuters is seeking an experienced business new reporter to produce daily financial market videos for Reuters.com and the London Stock Exchange Group. The successful candidate will research, write, present, and edit global stock market updates. Candidates will also host daily video interviews with market commentators and analysts from a broad range of financial institutions.

You would also be working with a team of similar professionals, collaborating on the creation of special online reports for Reuters.com, focused on - but not limited to - climate change, technology including artificial intelligence, business, and investing.

You would have access to Reuters' vast pool of reporting and visuals content produced by colleagues around the world.


Please note this is a full-time position with a fixed term contract till the end of 2024. The place of work is Canary Wharf, London.

This is a staff position which involves rotating between early and later shifts (7AM-3PM and 12PM-8PM), Monday-Friday.

About the Role

As our Markets Video Reporter/Producer, you will:

Script, present to camera and edit daily stock market and specialist video reports.
Communicate confidently with financial industry stakeholders.
Create special video reports for Reuters.com, from the pitch process to the final edit.
Ensure your work is accurate, timely and impartial.
Work a Mon-Fri shift pattern including some early mornings and evenings.
About You

To become our Markets Video Reporter/Producer, you will have:

Strong experience producing and reporting for video.
A good working knowledge of, and keen interest in, technology, global geopolitics, business and finance.
Experience working in a digital newsroom or production unit.
Great video editing skills, preferably Adobe Premiere.
Excellent written and spoken English.
