British GQ is looking for an enthusiastic video production manager/producer to oversee the brand's video content which is published on GQ.co.uk, YouTube and our social media accounts which currently have a combined following of more than 1.2 million.

As our video production manager/producer you will co-ordinate all the video content that GQ produces and guarantee that the correct assets are produced for every platform, in-time and under budget, working closely with the digital editor.

You are a regular reader of British GQ and follower of our social media channels, and are familiar with our focus on intelligent fashion and style coverage, broad and exclusive entertainment coverage and incisive political commentary.

Aims for GQ Video:

Increasing the production value, consistency and the strength of our narratives in all video content.
Growing our subscriber base on YouTube.
Increasing the amount and quality of appropriate video content (square ratio, subtitles, engaging the viewer in the first three seconds) on our social channels.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Managing the creation, production, post-production and publishing of GQ video content to ensure that the correct films are published on the correct platforms at the correct time to guarantee maximum viewership, to briefs set by the GQ editorial and art team.
Ability to switch into a producer role for video shoots that might involve, for example, a GQ cover star, an interview with a politician or a car review shot on location.
Managing our existing freelance video producers, camera operators and editors to ensure that they are all aware of and meet the requirements for GQ's best practice for video content.

Reliably excellent editorial judgment and a relentless commitment to accuracy.
Understanding of camera, sound and lighting operation.
A passion for GQ subjects (style, watches, grooming, culture, politics).
