Video Producer

At the heart and soul of London since 1895 West Ham United is a dynamic, fan-focused football Club constantly moving forward but always with an eye on the past.


Our home at the London Stadium has a capacity of 62,500 making it one of the biggest club Stadia in the country however our tickets are the lowest priced for London based clubs in the Premier League, echoing objectives to create Affordable Family Football.


In 2018, our Women's team gained a professional status for the very first time, jumping 2 divisions and competed in the Women's Super League (WSL), the premier division of women's football in England. After finishing a respectable 7th, the team enjoyed particular success in the FA Cup reaching the final of the competition, eventually being beaten by 2017 winners Manchester City.


In April 2019, we opened our brand-new Academy facility based at Chadwell Heath which will help to bring through some of the very best talents in the area, the recent emergence of First Team Players Declan Rice and Ben Johnson are a testament to the work already being done at the Academy.


On the business side, we are continuing to create a Stadium our supporters can call home, with the renaming of the Billy Bonds Stand and Claret and Blue pitch surrounding amongst the latest developments. Additionally, the Club has achieved the Disability Confident Leader status.


The Club employees a constantly growing workforce of approximately 300 core staff and 500 Foundation and events staff, and is a truly unique place to work. We welcome talented individuals who will thrive in our ambitious organisation.


In October 2023, West Ham United was awarded the Advanced level of the Premier League Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard, recognising the Club's ongoing dedication and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). It is the second time West Ham United has received the award, which is the top accolade that can be achieved by Premier League clubs, having first been presented with the Advanced level in 2020.

Position
Video Producer - Live Action Football

Location: London Stadium, Stratford

Contract: Perm, Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week


The successful candidate will form an important part of the content team and be heavily involved in ideation and execution of video content across West Ham's digital channels.


Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, develop, and execute innovative content ideas that resonate with the club's diverse fanbase, ranging from match highlights, interviews, mini-documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, and other engaging content.

• Support our PR and Communication departments with creative, emotive and heart-warming content pieces.

• Work closely with social media team to help devise and execute vertical content across platforms such as TikTok and IG Reels.

• Research and feedback to wider team on new content ideas, techniques and trends from around the Sports business.

• Support marketing and retail campaigns with high quality video content.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including players, coaching staff, and operations team, to ensure highest standards for planning and communication are always met.

• Assist wider video team with internal projects when required.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas: -


Education/Qualifications/Experience:

• Demonstrable experience working in video production

• Experience of capturing video in a live sports setting.

• Can edit quickly under pressure using Adobe Premiere Pro, with the ability to produce a wide range of video in different edit styles.

• Ability to work matchdays (including pre- & post-match and evenings) for both home and away games as well as other Club events that may fall outside normal working hours.

• Proven track record in managing shoots and talent.

• Demonstrated willingness to take a ''hands-on'' approach

• Ability to establish good working relationships with player and key stakeholders


Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

• Fluency across all of Adobe CC Suite

• Experience working as a camera operator (Sony FX6, FS7, A7S or equivalent

• Ability to work to tight deadlines

• Track record of creating strong social first content

• Flexible with working hours and happy to work evenings including home and occasionally away matches.

• Thinks of creative solutions to problems

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
