Video Producer

London / Hybrid HYBRID

We are looking for a Video Producer to join our Entertainment and Podcast teams in London.

You will be creating video content for social media platforms daily to drive both awareness and listenership of our Bauer-owned Podcasts.

This is a very hands-on and creative role!

Whether in the studio or on location, you have a passion for, and excellent knowledge of, short-form video and its potential to reach and engage online audiences.

You are highly creative, naturally curious and always want to learn something new, then share it with those around you. You're clued into the social media landscape, and evolution of video platforms like YouTube and TikTok, and are constantly adapting your ideas and ways of working to maximise the reach and engagement of the video content you create.

You know what stops audiences in their feeds, and can turn around this type of video content quickly and efficiently.

We see podcasts as multi-platform digital media brands, so we need to be more creative and innovative than ever to get and keep people's attention.

The Podcast team at Bauer is a dynamic collection of multi-skilled audio and visual content creators. This role also sits alongside Bauer's Entertainment team, made up of social and video producers, journalists and talent bookers, who create engaging talent-led content for the entire Bauer portfolio.

This is a hybrid role you will be expected to work on Location, at home and from our London office. A flexible approach to working hours should be expected. You may be required to film outside normal working hours and on those days you would start later or finish earlier.

What you will do

Filming and editing video content for Podcasts, in studio and on location.
Filming footage using Bauer equipment, including a suite of Canon cameras.
Editing footage to an industry-leading standard using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Setting up lighting, camera and audio recording equipment.
Delivering video content that is on-brand and relevant to our audience.
Exporting video files and uploading video to all social platforms.
Working with wider Podcast team to develop video ideas and concepts.
Working with Podcast talent on set to create a variety of video content for social media.

What you will bring

You have experience filming with a variety of camera equipment (Canon & Sony) and are confident in setting up and monitoring lighting and sound.

You have an in-depth knowledge of all social platforms and how to edit for each, from TikTok to YouTube, you have it nailed!

You are proficient at using video editing software (Premiere Pro) and have experience with design and motion graphics (Photoshop & After Effects are a plus). You are always trying new things both on set and in the edit, and you want to stay ahead of the curve - creating innovative social video that cuts through.

You are confident adding graphics, sound effects, subtitles, and colour grading footage. You will happily take role of director or producer if required and ensure all video content is delivered to both a deadline and a high editorial standard.

You have a healthy obsession with video analytics and a demonstrate an understanding of how to create content that will cut through on all social platforms; with a specific focus on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. Growing and engaging audiences on these platforms is paramount to the success our podcasts.

You are full of new ideas and can easily identify online trends and personalities, including emerging memes and cultural conversations - and you have a genuine passion for podcasts, celebrity, popular culture and working in media.

Creative self-shooter with a passion for creating compelling social video.
Curiosity and the ability to translate data and insights into developing video formats.
An entrepreneurial 'can-do' attitude facilitated by continuous learning and application of appropriate best practices.
Ability to focus and follow through on priorities and deliver quality results.
Clear understanding of competitor activity and audience behaviour.
Sound editorial judgment with a passion for storytelling through video.
Excellent talent management and confidence under pressure.
Experienced camera, lighting and location shooting skills.
Experience in filming and podcast and/or social media content.
Significant experience using Adobe Premiere.
Understanding of compression formats for delivery to a range of medium.
TikTok, YouTube and online video platform experience.
Storyboarding and scripting where relevant.
Awareness of media law and Ofcom compliance.
Awareness of Health and Safety requirements on shoots.
General graphic and 3D skills highly advantageous including Photoshop and After Effects.
Photography skills are a bonus.
Pro-active, committed, quick thinking and able to work calmly under pressure.
A team player at every level, and able to work with stakeholders to see a project through to completion.
Excellent communication and transparency across everything you do.
