Video ProducerAs a Video Producer, you will work with the Gaming & Entertainment and Consumer groups, creating content that is tailored for online audiences. The job will involve studio and on location recording (including international travel), editing in Final Cut, as well as creating stings, intro-sequences and other motion graphics using After Effects. The successful applicant will also be expected to be able to work to brief and follow style guidelines for some projects, and to bring their own style and creativity to others.Main Tasks and Responsibilities: • Responsible for filming, capturing and editing a variety of footage including interviews, live event coverage, gameplay footage and studio production, as well as the recording and editing of podcasts.• Be responsible for the production of GameSpot Tournaments - studio production featuring combination of game-capture and sports-style commentary.• Produce localised versions of major US GameSpot franchises, such as Now Playing and Video Reviews.• Where required, assist the Consumer group video team with both studio-based and location filming and production.• Work with editors and presenters to brainstorm, develop and maintain video content for our brands.• Work with the internal Marketing and PR departments to produce promotional video for internal and external use.• Develop and maintain relationships with the gaming and television PR industries in order to ensure a regular flow of up-to-date and ideally exclusive B-Roll.• Produce commercial video for the Gaming & Entertainment brand advertisers.• Contribute to Peer Review and cross-publisher video discussion, to maintain highest quality of video across the business.• Understand and adapt to the demands of a deadline-based editorial team, be able to follow a brief and also establish how to get the best performances out of different presenters.• Ability to edit to tight turnaround times.• Staying ahead of the field in terms of knowledge of interactive video and audio standards.• Regular domestic and international travel required as part of position.Experience/Skills:• Proven experience in video production for a professional organisation (please include a showreel in your application to demonstrate your experience).• Experience with and knowledge of video editing software, media codecs, streaming technology, encoding software, and motion graphics. Experience with Final Cut Studio, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop would be desirable.• Understanding the principles of 3-point lighting, white balancing, colour temperatures and light maintenance.• Understanding of the principles involved in recording good audio in different conditions.• Broad understanding of video cameras and the basics of camera control, shutter speeds, apertures, lens types, filters and effects.
