Video Producer

Bath

As the GamesRadar Video Producer, you'll be responsible for proactively creating high-quality short-form video content, including reviews, previews, reactions, and more, and ensuring that it is produced on repeat. Responsibilities will also include the conception, creation and management of commercial video activity and video for events and experiential activity.

From concept to completion, Video Producers play a key-role in the end-to-end creation, management and delivery of a wide range of short form video content to be delivered across GamesRadar's internal JW Player video solution, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, at events and on any other relevant platforms. Producers play a key role in developing formats that can be easily repeated in order to create content en masse. The Producer has to be a master at planning, idea generation, script writing and strategic production. Our goal is to balance quality content with quantity, so Producers need to be both agile and hungry.

Producers must also respond to reasonable requests from the Editor in Chief and Head of Video to assist in the creation of video for other projects, including event collateral. This role will reward a creative thinker, with the personality and confidence to work with editorial staff. Producers should also have an eye-for-detail and completer-finisher mindset. They should be confident self-starters, able to work with others to direct their talents, and be able to meet all of their deadlines. The ability to present on camera is a plus.

Key role responsibilities
* Create videos based on news, reviews, evergreen content, previews, and more according to what's required for GamesRadar.
* Work with our commercial sales team to ensure that they can utilise our video space to deliver content that exceeds clients' expectations.
* Help develop the video and presenting skills of in-house editorial talent.
* Collaborate with the global Future Video team to understand company-wide objectives and offer non-brand specific support as needed.
* Create a culture of enthusiasm and excellence in all that you do.

Requirements
What do I need to succeed?
* Competence to be a "one-person-band," with an eye for lighting and ear for audio, as needed both in-studio and on-location.
* Thirst for producing multiple pieces in a day from ideation, execution/editing, posting and social media distribution.
* Post production Adobe Premiere speed and dexterity that does not sacrifice quality.
* Ability to follow established short-form templates/show-formats.
* Experience taking long-form articles and turning them into shootable short-form scripts, quickly and efficiently.
* Ability to shoot strategically and have the foresight to know how a video will all come together in post.
* Flexibility to work with a small team, or scaling up as a part of a larger crew, to contribute to all areas of video production.
* Confident in front of the camera and delivering voiceover.
* Strong planning and organisation skills.
* A diplomatic, can-do attitude that seeks to get the job done.
