Overview
Fireship is the biggest software engineering channel on YouTube, providing high-intensity code tutorials as well as regular news videos covering the topics every programmer should know.

We are looking for a creative and experienced video editor to join our remote digital video team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for composing clips, editing audio and delivering polished videos related to programming. This individual should have some familiarity with programming, as understanding the source material is essential for effective editing.

They will collaborate with the team to turn written episodes into well-paced and polished episodes that tell the story without losing a viewer's interest. They will also work closely with the rest of the team to ensure that the videos are informative, entertaining, and visually appealing.

Tasks
* Source, select and import suitable media elements (videos, images, audio)
* Collaborate closely with the scriptwriter to understand visual requirements and ensure alignment with the overall storytelling vision.
* Manage multiple edit projects concurrently, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain project momentum.
* Maintain organised project files and documentation to ensure easy access to assets and seamless collaboration with team members.
* Assist in the production of Fireship's content to increase the quantity and variety of output, contributing to the growth and engagement of the audience.

Requirements
* Experience in video editing, with an emphasis on digital content creation and experience with YouTube.
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and other related software.
* A strong understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms and how to optimise content for those platforms.
* Strong understanding of programming and storytelling, with a deep understanding of both industries.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
* Able to replicate the tone and style of the channel's content.
