We're seeking an energetic, multitalented Video Editor to join our creative team. You've got several years of experience under your belt. Whatever your creative background, this is an excellent opportunity to grow in a fast-paced, exciting industry and company.

The role
The primary focus of the Video Editor is cutting together :30 and :15 second commercials of various style, online branded and non-ad content videos, animated storyboards, photomatics, colour grading footage, mastering audio, motion graphics and creating simple animations. This role will allow you to wear many hats and develop a diverse skill set.
Primary Editing duties (not limited to)
• Ability to complete full post production process:
• Organize, ingest and edit offline :15, :30 and :60 second TV commercials - scripted and unscripted testimonial formats
• Continue throughout the entire post process to online edit (colour + audio mastering)
• Ability to create well branded graphics/motion graphics
• Good knowledge of keying for green screen
• Create animated storyboards and photomatics
• Media management

The ideal candidate
• Academic background in TV/Film/Video Production/Editing/Advertising/Communications preferred
• 5+ years of editing experience
• In-depth knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
• Vast knowledge of codecs
• Willingness to work long hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Ability to work quickly, with exceptional attention to detail
• A positive, enthusiastic self-starter who can work independently and as part of a group
• An understanding of the Buchanan business and our platforms
