About the Job
We're looking for a Video Editor (Social Media Content) who lives and breathes short-form storytelling. You'll edit videos designed to capture attention, drive engagement, and spark conversations across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and Xiaohongshu (XHS).

This role suits someone with a strong sense of timing, trends, and platform behavior - someone who can turn raw footage into scroll-stopping content that feels native, fresh, and on-brand.

Key Responsibilities
Editing & Storytelling

Edit short-form videos optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and XHS.

Craft visually engaging edits with strong hooks, pacing, and storytelling flow.

Add subtitles, transitions, music, and visual effects to enhance impact and watch time.

Adapt content across different platforms while maintaining consistency in tone and message.

Creative Collaboration

Work closely with Creative, Social Media, and Marketing teams to bring campaign concepts and weekly content calendars to life.

Contribute ideas on creative formats, editing styles, and content directions aligned with current trends.

Support videographers by refining and repurposing raw footage into final deliverables.

Trend & Platform Awareness

Stay ahead of social media trends, editing styles, and viral formats across platforms.

Monitor competitor and influencer content to identify best practices and new creative ideas.

Continuously test and refine editing techniques to improve engagement metrics.

Workflow & Quality Management

Maintain organized project files, media archives, and version control.

Ensure all outputs are optimized for each platform's specifications (ratios, length, resolution).

Deliver projects on time while maintaining creative quality and consistency.

Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, or related field.

1-3 years of experience in short-form video editing or social media content production.

Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.

Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and audience behavior.

Keen eye for pacing, storytelling, and on-platform tone of voice.

Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times.

A showreel or portfolio of short-form social content is required.

Why Join BJAK
Opportunity to shape how millions engage with BJAK's brand through creative storytelling.

Fast-track career growth with regional exposure.

Collaborative and inclusive creative culture.

Flat structure - ideas and initiative matter more than titles.

Above-market remuneration with performance-based growth opportunities.
