Job Title: Video Editor, Dazed Media

Reporting to: Head of Content and Head of Production

Role Summary:
Working as part of Dazed Media's Video Team under the supervision of the Head of Content and Head of Production you will use your technical and creative skills and your enthusiasm for original ideas to contribute to the success of Dazed Media's video production. Titles under Dazed Media include, Dazed and Dazed Beauty You will work closely with Dazed Media's digital, social and programming teams; you will support with predominantly editorialising, executing and editing Dazed Media's in-house editorial short form video and social media rollouts.. Some responsibilities will include developing editorial ideas and production coordination.

Duties, Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Primarily responsible for editing Dazed Media's in-house editorial short form video; this may be across Dazed, Dazed Beautty
Develop and execute timely, reactive social-first video in conjunction with social team and Head of Content
Shoot reactive video for social-first content on short notice and to tight deadlines on print and digital content moments
Edit short form and reactive content as and when required
Support camera department on in-house productions across all video types
Assist on the translation of high-performing editorial content from dotcom to video format; ie. breaking down ideas, storyboarding
Create and/or support freelance video editors in the execution of filmed assets to be used across Dazed Media's various platforms inc. showreels, teasers, cut downs and super-edits
Troubleshoot video editing issues across Dazed Media and provide support on commercial projects when necessary
Transcoding films in preparation to be uploaded to site inc. adding title cards, subtitles and exporting to spec
Assist with the management of the websites' video hosting platforms and CMS systems on posts related to video content.
Organisation of internal file servers and video archives and support in the upkeep of Dazed Media's video equipment and management of log system.
