Job Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Editor to join our growing editorial and content team.

This is a hybrid creative-technical role focused on crafting standout short-form video - ideal for someone with a sharp editorial eye, fast editing instincts, and a deep understanding of what performs on social platforms.

You will work closely with producers, writers, and talent to shape short-form stories across verticals including news, showbiz, money, health, and travel - with a strong focus on performance, storytelling, and visual polish.

This role is central to our ambition of building high-impact digital-first brands and requires a blend of speed, style, and substance.

Main Responsibilities

Edit compelling short-form video content (primarily for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts) using supplied scripts, footage, and voiceovers
Work closely with producers and creative leads to shape the visual narrative of each piece - ensuring every frame adds value
Use kinetic text, fast cuts, memes, and mixed media creatively to enhance storytelling and engagement
Source and edit in appropriate music, sound effects, and archival footage to create a premium final product
Collaborate with design and animation teams to add motion graphics and visual identity elements where needed
Maintain fast turnaround times and adapt quickly to breaking stories or viral trends
Stay up to date with evolving video trends, editing techniques, and platform-specific best practices
Archive, version, and organise video projects for reuse and cross-platform republishing

Person Specification

2-4+ years of professional editing experience in a digital media, social content, or publisher environment
Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent); familiarity with After Effects, CapCut, or other motion tools a strong advantage
Strong grasp of storytelling for short-form video - especially hooks, pacing, and platform-specific tone
Experience editing across multiple verticals or genres, ideally with news, showbiz, or creator-led content
Able to edit quickly under pressure without compromising on quality
Creative instincts around what performs on social: strong feel for format, framing, and thumb-stopping visuals
Comfortable working with voiceovers, text-on-screen storytelling, and music-driven editing
Collaborative and responsive, with the ability to take feedback and iterate quickly
