Job Purpose

Barcroft Studios is looking for a Video Editor to join our Truly team on a full time basis.

The role involves editing short-form original digital documentary content across our channels, reversioning and optimising for social platforms such as Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook and many others.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end editing of short-form video packages in Adobe Creative Cloud including offline, grading, audio mixing, and using music and graphics.
Working with Edit Producers' scripts to create award winning short-form documentary content.
Creating rough-cuts and assemblies.
Liaising collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and precise distribution of content to clients and partners.
Requirements

The successful candidate will need the following experience:

Working in a fast-paced professional video post production environment with the ability to juggle multiple edits.
Experience working on short-form documentary content & social media reversions in various aspect ratios is preferred.
An understanding of different social media video platforms' content and audience.
End-to-end editing of short-form video packages in Adobe Creative Cloud including offline, grading, audio mixing, and using music and graphics.
Experience of creating graphics packages advantageous.
Organised, capable, self-motivated, with the ability to work to tight deadlines independently without constant supervision.
Experience using the Google Suite is helpful.
Flexibility around working location, with the possibility of working at home and/or in the office.


This role is aimed at Editors with at least two year's experience in a professional editing or post production environment rather than highly experienced editors, and the salary will reflect this. You should be used to working at full-spec desk edit stations rather than in edit suites. Please only apply if you think this is for you.
