We are currently looking for a Video Editor.ResponsibilitiesEditing High-Quality Mood Films: * You must be able to create visually captivating mood films that reflect engaging storytelling for top tier pitches. * You must be comfortable and have good skills in sourcing the best and most appropriate footage as well as being able to brief researchers to source it for you. * Innovation coupled with a self-starter mentality and a desire for personal professional growth are highly desirable attributes across our business and essential for this role. Editing TVCs and High-Quality Content: * You must be able to work with Creatives, Directors and Producers to generate appealing and original content. * Taking direction as well being able to come up with your own creative solutions when taking a brief. * You must possess good aesthetic and artistic notions * A good eye for detail for selecting and cutting material from rushes in order to achieve the best results. Editing International Adaptation Projects: * Working closely with Editor and Producer teams you will receive editing requests from producers. Taking client's visual, audio and graphic content, to create broadcast quality video edits. * You must be able to handle and manage briefs independently as well as working collaboratively with Editor Team on more complex jobs. * Advise producers on time and work required on briefs appropriately. QualificationsTechnical skills / Experience:We expect you to perform to high standards the basics of a Mid-weight Editor whilst maintaining the following to a very high standard: * Editing original content including commercials, brand videos, product demos, corporate videos & Moving Image content (generally) * Edit re-versioning - including shot replacement, re-tagging, cut-downs * Compositing - including product replacements and keying * Motion Graphics - including original content and re-versioning * Experience creating work for different distribution including broadcast, cinema, digital and social media * Quote time on jobs successfully * 3 years' experience in this position within the industry In addition, we expect you to deliver and maintain high standards in the following areas: * Team working * Problem solving and the ability to express and articulate complex information in a straight forward way * Good understanding of post-production / international versioning / adaptation processes * Experience working in post-production environment alongside Producers and remotely with off-shore centres * Technically confident with advanced/complex TV & digital moving image formats, codecs, audio files etc. * Excellent skills on post-production applications used by the company, i.e. Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, along with related plug-ins (e.g. Mocha AE, Red Giant, Optical Flares, Element3D...). In addition, you should have mid-to-high Adobe Photoshop and basic-to-mid Illustrator skills. * You should have a good understanding of 3D CGI concepts. Knowledge and experience of 3D software and/or compositing packages is a plus (e.g. Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema4D, Nuke, Flame, Fusion...) * Colouring skills and DaVinci Resolve skills and experience are a plus * Sound Design and music track sourcing skills are a plusOperational Skills * As a Mid-weight Editor, you should perform at a high level and proactively develop your skillset. * Take the necessary steps to develop your skills and gain experience in the different fields related to your activity. * We want fresh ideas and inputs to help CD-EMEA continuously improve our way of working and operational processes. * We also ask you to be commercially aware by the actions taken within the team.
